Heathers Holistics

About Us

Heather graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, with a B.A. in Sports Medicine: Athletic Training & Sports Management. After having two children, she returned to school to obtain an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting. She is also certified as a Level 2 Integrative Health Practitioner and takes pride in her practice’s holistic approach. With over 20 years of experience, Heather has worked with people of all ages, empowering them to make positive life changes.

Working with seniors has become a passion for Heather, as she creates an atmosphere that fosters the self-realization of their highest movement potential. She believes that working with seniors, especially in their home environment, helps improve functional mobility, increases safety awareness during daily tasks, and decreases the risk of falling. Heather’s ability to create unique, personalized programs that are easy to understand, implement, and maintain daily is second to none. Each person’s situation is different, and no home is set up the same. Heather tailors her programs to meet these individual needs, improving physical and mental strength along with confidence as we age.

As a former college athlete, Heather has always loved being active. After her basketball career, she took up running and competed in several half marathons and one full marathon. During the pandemic, she completed her 500-hour yoga teacher training (RYT500) and now holds certifications in trauma-informed yoga (TIY-T) and chakra healing. Heather believes that yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, size, shape, flexibility, or fitness level. She meets every BODY where it’s at, with no judgment, nurturing the body, mind, and spirit.

Heather has recently completed over 1,000 hours of yoga teaching (E-RYT200) and plans to begin offering yoga teacher training classes to spread her love of yoga, meditation, and the alignment of our body and chakra system to create balance in an unbalanced world.

"Movement is like medicine for the body. With every bend, step, and stretch, we heal, grow, and find our balance in an ever-changing world."

- Heather Hanchuk

The heart chakra’s meaning and everything it entails is the reason she chose it to be in the name of her company. It symbolizes unconditional love, compassion, and empathy, which are the core values she strives to embody and promote through her work. By incorporating the heart chakra into the name, she emphasizes the importance of connecting with our true selves and fostering deep, meaningful connections with others.
